West Sussex County Council Adult Education in Sugarcraft

Caroline has been a City & Guilds adult education tutor in sugarcraft since 1999.

It was with great regret that Caroline resigned in March 2011 from teaching adult education (due to the amount of administration paperwork involved). Caroline will however still be teaching her very popular one day classes/workshop at Storrington (please see below).

One-day Teaching Workshops 2012

Caroline is a City & Guilds qualified adult education tutor and will be offering one day work-shops at Cakes For All Reasons, Church Street, Storrington on the following dates. (Please contact Sonia, the owner, for bookings and further details on 01903 744040.

Saturday 4th March - Beginner's class. How to make basic pulled flowers, simple flowers using cutter and wired leaves/petals.
Saturday 31st March - How to make Bluebells - a small arrangement.
Saturday 14th April - How to make a small branch of Cherry Blossom. (This technique also applies to apple blossom and other simple blossoms). Learn how to make the flower and a wood effect branch.
Saturday 19th May - How to make an open rose and leaves.

Due to the demand of these classes/workshops, there is a possibility that classes will run on a weekday as well as on a Saturday. Please ask Sonia for details.

Woman's Institute & Other Societies

Since 2002, Caroline has been an accredited speaker/demonstrator for the Woman's Institute and visiting them and other Societies and Clubs to give demonstrations on making her special porcelain flowers for wedding cakes, as well as how to marzipan, sugarpaste and decorate a celebration cake. Horsham Sugarcraft Club

On the first Friday of each month at 7.30pm, there is a sugarcraft club for like-minded gentlemen and ladies who like to have fun with sugarcraft and enjoy making cakes. All levels of cake decorating experience are welcome from the complete beginner, to those wishing to improve their existing skills.
